”We've trialed what seems like endless magnesium-based dissolvable plugs. All of them seem to be plagued by slips during frac. Jet's design has consistently proven to be the most reliable option for us.

“On a recent pad, we decided to run more dissolvables than originally planned, instead of finishing with composites in the heel. With a narrow lead time we expected to have to shut down operations until a hot shot could get to location. Instead, Jet lined up a prop plane to deliver the remaining plugs! Can’t match their dedication to customer success!”

CASE STUDY: FLARE DISSOLVABLE PLUG
SCENARIO
A customer in the Haynesville Basin conducted a head-to-head trial with Jet Oil Tools’ Flare Plug and a competitors’ dissolvable option. Trial was conducted in the same wellbore at varying depths.
OBSERVATION
Jet Oil Tools’ Flare Plug exhibited more efficient performance while RIH during the pumpdown phase of operations. Efficiency highlights included reduced total amount of barrels pumped and quicker conveyance speeds at comparable pump rates to the competition. Jet was able to save the operator ~2.5 bbl per 1,000 ft.
SCENARIO
A Permian Basin operator was conducting a head-to-head trial with Jet’s Flare Plug and another comparable dissolvable plug. Focus: 1) Determine which plug was best able to hold pressure integrity during treatment. 2) Determine percentage of plugs tagged during drillout.
Wellbore Conditions: Trial conducted with 24 toe stages on five wells with ~12,000′ laterals. (4) Wolfcamp Wells, 1 Spraberry Well, Avg SBHT: 160°-165°, Pumpdown plugs at 18bpm in 5.5″ 20# csg, All stages pumped beginning with 1k gal 15% HCL before freshwater (1,136 mb/L chlorides TDS = 2,911 g/L).
OBSERVATION
Trial highlights included reduced total amount of barrels pumped and quicker conveyance speeds at comparable pump rates to the competition.
No pressure drops recorded during the 24 stages treated against the Jet Flare plug
– Maximum treating pressure: ~9,000 psi
– Average treatment duration: 2hrs
No tags reported during drillout (drillout conducted as soon as frac rigged down)
